Celebration of Life

Wilbert Black was born March 10, 1952 to McKinley Black and Lillie Anderson Black of  Shuqualak, MS. He departed this life on Friday, 24 January 2025 peacefully at his home.

He accepted Christ at an early age at Asbury United Methodist Church, Shuqualak, MS. Wilbert graduated from B.F. Liddell in Macon MS with the class of 1971.  Wilbert managed KentucyFried Chicken in Los Angeles, CA for 20 plus years. He later moved back home to Shuqualak, MS where he continued his love for KFC and managed the Macon, MS store for years.

Wilbert lived life abundantly and to the fullest!  He was the life of the party and never met a stranger.

Both his parents preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories: Sisters, Lois Foust (Orlando), Mary Hunt (Frank Jr.), Jean Cowan, Carolyn Ash and Ruth Myers (Richard). He leaves behind lots of memories with his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends, (Earnestine and Morandy) and his first wife, (Phyliss).
